Holidays and Parties

Exams are finally over !!!

I am so so so happy =)) I hope I wont do too badly for this sem although I have a feeling I wont be able to maintain my position in the top 10 % but then again, I gave my best alr and yup, hope for the best bah. And I dont want to do Marketing supp paper. I dont want to touch those cursed lecture notes ever again.

*Praying hard*

I am going to be year 2 alr leh. Not really looking forward going to Sentosa to study. The school has like only 2 toilets in two different blocks. And the canteen called "Fair and Square" is nothing like TP canteens. But I got my Sentosa card now (and it's in pink !! =))) and I can get into Sentosa for free and have like discounts in most of the things there. Jealous anot people? Be jealous!!

So it's holidays for me now and I really dont know how to spend my 3 weeks here. Everyone is looking for a job and I dont really feel like idling leh. But I need to find jobs that are like temporary kinds, something like events. Oh well. I shall see bah. If there got lobang then I work. If not, then I will just idle around. =))

Went drinking with the usual clique yesterday. Was supposed to be meeting in Timbre at Boat Quay there but due to unforeseen circumstances, we just ate pizza and calamari rings and a Shirley Temple for me. The ambience there was nice. It's something like al fresco dining which I would preferred most and the view wasnt bad. ~~Pictures will be up later.~~ Pictures are up !! =))

Since Lester was driving, we went to Georges at Siglap to continue. The journey there was rather ~~funny~~ an interesting one. With Boo being the nagivator who isnt sure of the directions and Lester being the driver who asked turn right or left at every traffic lights. Wah confirm plus chop is damn damn funny... er no... interesting =))

So at Georges, we had a tower of Heineken first and I drank like 2 glasses, I think. And we talked about Intoxication, the upcoming chalet on Friday which is totally about alcohol and party. I mean, from the name of the party, can tell is drink alcohol all night. So ya, there will be a DJ around to play music etc. Going to be damn good I think. =))

Candice and Edmund joined us later and we ordered yet another tower of Heineken. I drank like 1 more glass.

We left like around 12:45 am and they sent me home (duh! Becoz everyone was in the car). I was actually feeling a bit tipsy. Guess I cannot handle lager well.

Seeing Lester driving a car re-ignite my desire to drive too. I shall register for my BTT when I OFFICIALLY hit 18. Yes yes. Then I will psycho my parents into getting me a car, I dont mind if it has to be a second hand one. Alot of things will be made easier when I have a car. No more squeezing onto the bus or into the MRT and shopping will be easier too. =))

Now I shall proceed on to daydreaming.

Pink chio-ness but not Marketing

Wah!! I am damn sick of marketing lah. WTH!!! The definitions to me are like just randoms words put together to give a chim appearance only lor. It does not make any sense.

For example,

Customer satisfaction are perceived value delievered relative to buyer's expectations.

When a customer is happy with the product or service he/she got, he/she will be naturally satisfied right? Or, in other words, when the product or service I received exceeded my expectations, then I will derive satisfaction.

I still find my definitions easier than the former. Perceived value is like the customer's perception of value right? Isnt it the same as buyer's expectations since in dont-know-one chapter I studied, buyer's expectations arised from past experiences and from "hearsays". So if I already have past experiences and if the product or service is good, I will naturally have the perception that that particular product or service is good right?

So does not make any logic to me lah. Alamak!! Then I got so worried over nothing. I was like thinking, "Die already, my command of English is lagging."

Oh my God!! Stupid marketing. And HTM got the easier job of doing GeogTravel. It's just learning about different countries which is like more interesting than marketing. I dont want to be a marketer next time. I want to be working in a job more towards dealing with customers. More challenging. Or maybe I can be planner, planning for people's D&D, weddings, parties etc. So fun !!! ^-^

Ya, in conclusion, marketing is so not fun lor. Phew! Feeling better after all these rantings. Really felt like yelling all sorts of vulgarities and curses at my marketing notes. Which I think people will think that I am crazy since my notes are inanimate objects and they have no feelings and wont reply me. At all.

On to a happier note. =)) My family had another interesting conversation yesterday.

Mummy (Talking to Jacqueline): Eh! Your phone bill very expensive leh. $100+. Send until 2000 sms. I go and deduct from your bank account ah?

Jacqueline: But I no money le lah.

Me (Innocently laughing behind my laptop)

Mummy: Eh! You also dont laugh hor. Your phone bill also very expensive leh. Outgoing calls already 300 minutes .....

Me (Cutting in): Okokokokokok, noted.

Hey bo bian mah, if I dont cut in, next time you guys cannot call me and I cannot call you then it will upset the universe balance ok?

Jacqueline: Why not you give us the new prepaid card? Pay $28 but can get over $100 value.

Me: Where got such good thing one?

Jacqueline: Got lor. Somemore you send 10 sms in a week then they give you 5 sms free.

Mummy and me: You think enough for you is it?!?!?!?!?!

Consider the fact that she can actually send until 1000 + sms in a month, I highly doubt it will suffice her. Jacqueline also very funny lor. Haiz...

So we went out yesterday to shop becoz I am damn bored of marketing. I got a very very very chio earphones.

Is damn chio lah!! The colour is peach pink. And the entire headset is in pink!!! I really got my pink headset le. The one that I got last time was a total rip off. Just use for like a week only and the wire disconnected. Hmmm.. speaking of which, where did I dump that thing? Aiya, dont care also le lah. Plus this "GUMY" seemed very familar to me when I bought it.. Hmmm.. Nvm.. See if I can remember it later.

My aunt just returned from Istanbul, largest city in Turkey. I want to go there too!! Ok I also dont know what to do there anyway. I just say that for the sake of saying and I really want to travel. But I am so not enthu about going to China though. She got us a bracelet each and it's supposed to be a lucky charm. Turkish believe that the "eye" thingie can ward off evil or something. So ya, it kind of look like an eye. And the best of all, SHE GOT MINE IN PINK. =))

Jacqueline and I decided on this Canon PowerShot E1 camera after seeing it in Courts. Not bad lah, it's light, 10 megapixels, face detection and very very affordable. Mummy gave the green light but she is not sponsoring us for that. =(( But this chio camera's design got cotton pink!! So ya, hence we decided on this one.

Yayness!! Cant wait to get my hands on it.

Ok now, back to marketing. I think I will try studying it for awhile. If really cannot get in, then I shall move on to POM.

PS: Oh ya the "GUMY" right is one of the mystery prizes I gave out when working as a promoter. No wonder....

FINAL EXAMS STARTS TMR !!!

And the first paper is Macroecons. Damn sian lah. I re-did the Mid sem test for Macro and I realised that...

I COULD HAVE GOTTEN THAT FRIGGIN "A" FOR THAT PAPER !!!

Oh my 天, if you can tell, obviously I am not very happy about it and I was like whining to everyone at home how I could have done well if I werent that complacent and didnt really study for that paper. Not to mention carelessness, yes carelessness. This Achilles' heel of mine never failed to show up during exams ever since I started to sit for exams which was back in Primary 1. Ok, I shall make full use of the 2 hr tmr to do the paper properly.

And then another annoying fact is that, I think the answers I wrote for Mid Sem were exactly the same as the answers given by my tutor. Like what the hell. I think my tutor wanted to mark me down or what and it's not that she never do so before. What justifies my claim?

I did the paper without doing revision first and naturally the answers will be like 10% more or less similar to what I wrote during the paper. And when I refered to the answers, my points are there !!! I could have gotten like 5 to 8 marks more lor. Which could have gotten me at least a B. Ah !!!!!! Aiya, whatever lah. Over le anyway. Going to chiong for the paper.

But now, I have a problem with myself. Abit weird but ya, I study until dont feel like studying anymore. Ok truth to be told, I have been studying Macro for like the past 3 days becoz I am very very scared that I will not get a "B". So I have been studying and studying the 13 chapters for at least 3 to 5 times. Hopefully can get the information into my pea sized brain. Haiz.

So I became bored and decided to play with my web cam =))

Disclaimer: I dont always cam whore ok.. Just that I am damn damn bored of studying, period.

I told you I was bored from all those studying =pp And for those who never seen me in spectacles, NAH, see le lor.

Angeline returned from school and so I dragged her to play with me. =pp

I curled my hair with the curling tong I found collecting dust in my closet. So purely out of boredom, I went ahead and used it. Not much for a difference bah. I am now waiting for my hair to grow and will consider if I will want it curled.

I got study hor.. Dont see I play play and never study. I finished studying for FnB and abit on POM. Quite ok le leh. And yes, I die die also dont want to start studying for Marketing. Hate that subject =xx

Ok. back to studying.

Happy post-Valentine's Day to all !!

Thanks to the noble priest St. Valentine can we have a most romantic day of the year. Based on what I know, under the rule of some evil emperor in Rome, there were many wars or some sort of violence. Then the emperor could not get enough men to join the army, leading him to believe that the reason was becoz the men did not want to leave their families. And so, being so unreasonable, he cancelled all marriages and engagements.

St. Valentine and a priest friend of his secretly helped couples to get married but in the end, he got caught and death as punishment. He suffered martyrdom on the 14th day of February.

Haiz, so sad right? Help people get married but then died in the end. So anyway, that's random and FYI if you are interested.

Valentine Day dinner with Iguides people at Swensen's. Met up with Yingqi first before getting Toblerone as my gift to them. Ohoh and I got a rose.. =pp

Valentine's Day yesterday was much enjoyable for me. And Louis, thanks so much for planning such an unconventional way of celebration. Thanks for everything, from the preparation of the food to the gift. And not forgetting, thanks for accompanying me to sit on the sand and forgoing your sleep due to numerous insect bites. =x I really like sitting together though I tend to space out alot.

Yup, and I dont think we will be seeing each other soon due to study break, exams and he is typically going overseas straight away after exams lah. And then there is his work which is like 9 hrs/day, 5 days week. Oh well. See how it goes.

I will be an idler for the 3 weeks after exams before heading off to China. Might as well since I am always working during holidays. Scarcely I like being an idler and do not find the need to look for any work. =pp

So now, I shall go back and try to do some revision.

Just a random thought when chatting online with a friend. She asked me what do I want to achieve in life. Then I start to think, what do I really want in life?

Do I really want to be a career woman who climb up the corporate ladder or a housewife who will be there for her family?

Who is going to be my future spouse?

Can I get married by 24 and have my first child by 26?

Will I have 1 or 2 children, boys or girls?

How am I going to raise them?

Where do I want to retire?

And lastly, where do I want to die?

Maybe the last question is abit too far fetched lah hor. But then ya, then I did research right, and I found a few pictures that reflect partly what I really want.

It's until today I decided to go get a proper pink camera. Here's a few that I have shortlisted.

All look so cool right? And the best part is, they all come in pink. (^-^)

So now I am thinking if I should wait for the IT fair from 12 March to 15 March or I should just get it now. Of course waiting till the fair is better but then I dont like to go to very crowded places like fairs.

I am still getting one of them nonetheless. =))

Photos taken with Dawn when we were shopping yesterday. I really really like this place as it has one of the most beautiful view I have ever seen in Singapore and ya, it's quite quiet. Some of you may know where it is but for those who dont, I am not going to say where is it. =x Actually with the background and everything, you should roughly know where is it already.

And ya, this will be the location I have chosen to go on Thursday. Slowly, guess bah. =p

I think I have got a new record for myself.

For this CNY period, I have eaten yu sheng for 5 times. =x And the number of "yu" or salmon I had actually consumed were less than 10 pieces. Everytime when tossing the dish or whatever you call it, I will be like saying, "I want salmon." Since it was supposed to like make your wishes come true or something, apparently it's not working well lah. Becoz I never get my salmon. Oh well.

I like to eat salmon raw and naturally sashimi is one of my favourite food. However, I just came to realise that there are actually such thing as horse sashimi. There's this show on tv that showed the dissection of the horse. And it's very disgusting lah. The very big horse was skinned and I could see the flesh and veins until I have no appetite for lunch.

The Japanese called it sakura or sakuraniku. The method of eating is either by eating it raw or by yakiniku which is some kind of bbq. Omg..

I know that in some countries eating horse is acceptable but I still dont know how can anyone kill some living animals which can be a companion and help mankind in doing work. Likewise for dogs. And to think that I am going to China next month. Very afraid that they will serve me dog meat without my knowledge.

If they do, I am so going to kill them.

Ok, I have to report to school tmr at 8:3o am. Yes, on a Saturday -.-" However, breakfast is treated by lao shi. So I am perfectly fine by it. =)) And presentation of our proposal for the new Chinese website for >60 design centre to the director and lecturers of Design school. A bit nervous lah now... =x

Not to mention, must wear formal and heels.. My legs.. =((

Life's so unfair !!

I have got 2 humongous pimples, side by side, on my left cheek. Technically one is bigger than another, but then still, why must 2 come out at the same time ?!?!?!?!?! And they dont seem to be going away anytime soon. Irritating~~

Enough of my random rantings...

So ya, I am still going to school, sad enough. Just had marketing oral test, Jap and French role play. I think Mr Png (For the very few times, I remembered my tutor's name), was rather pek chek with us during the marketing test. For some reason I dont know why, I came to know that there's a marketing test the next day. Must be I am blur or what. Then I had to cramp like 12 lectures in my brain in less than 24 hours. -.-" This had taught to be more aware when I have tests and exams. Talking about tests and exams dates, I still havent really go find out the details for my final exams. Mental note to self: Go find out about the exam timetable. I hope I did ok for that test and ya, there's many questions I answer it all ~~anyhow~~ in a very unrelated to marketing way.

Classic question: What is marketing?

Classic answer: Go to market and buy fish, meat and vegetables.

Not wrong leh technically. According to Princeton University, it is shopping at the market. This is one of the 3 definitions they gave. My mother also asked me to go marketing with her. Oh well, too bad we cannot use that as an answer.

Moving on to my Jap presentation. I really had enjoyed myself with my group lah. They are like a fun bunch of people and always very "on" to do things. And rehearsals will always have lots of laughter becoz of the silly things we do. Our play was supposed to be humourous btw. Everyone there really put in lots of effort in memorising the script and making of the props. And kudos to my group leader, Kenneth. He re-typed the script everytime there's changes made and emailed to everyone of us and the number of sms he sent to us reminding us of meetings and stuff was a lot. Yet, he still have the energy to care about our welfare. A very good leader he was. And thanks to my fellow group mates, Andreas and Syafiqah. =))

Here's my Jap group. Kenneth was so funny that he insisted on a group picture. And dont judge me by my hairstyle. I had to do that for my roleplay and I AM VERY MATURE.

Next was my French roleplay with Sijie as my partner. She was very scared about forgetting her lines. I felt kinda of bad becoz I had the easier lines and she had the longer and more difficult lines. Our conversation was very normal and not much props used. Hopefully can do well in it bah. Amazing race in France is next week and I dont feel like going. Hmmm... nvm... I will just go and have with my group over there. =))

That's basically my school life.

I am very happy that everyone at home now is happy. My parents are no longer ~~quarelling~~ upset with each other. Jacqueline finally got better in terms of her attitude towards studying and Angeline, as usual, insists that she will do better than me in studies and drives me crazy all the time. Back to normal again and it feels good to me. =)) Kinda of miss the Sunday marketing (see! see!) outing. I just realised that we were always busy with our own work or going out with friends. So it's normally just my mother with either Jacqueline or Angeline. Hmmm.. I shall make time aside on Sunday. Dont ask me out on Sundays ah!! LOL.

For a day or two, we had silence between the both of us which kind of scares me. Then in the end, it was the situation of waiting for each other after we talked about it. And I had ~~also realised~~ known all along that the problem lies with me. I promise to step out of the shadow soon. So ya, we are ok now. =)) Ohoh and he passed his BTT. =))

Really a happy girl these days. =))
